Techniques used with head pins and eye pins

Head Pin
Eye Pin

In the method of using pins these are similar techniques used in twisting the end into a hook form. Once twisted into shape, the pin is ready to be attached to the necklace

  • String some seed beads as to the design's instructions or as desired. Leave 8mm free for the hook and cut away any remaining material
  • Use pliers to bend the pin about 80 degrees forward
  • Use pliers to grasp the end part and softly bend it to make a smooth curve. This will give the pin a beautiful jump ring form
  • When needing to attach a pin to an item, simply bend the curve back a little

Samples of long necklace designs where head pins and eye pins are used. A necklace design using head pins: string some seed beads on a head pin and attach it to the necklace which has already been prepared
